聖誕節的意義
By Tin-chee (TC) Lo; 盧天𧶽 約翰福音1:14寫道: 「道成了肉身、住在我們中間、充充滿滿的有恩典有真理。我們也見過他的榮光、正是父獨生子的榮光。」。這是一個如此獨特的宣告,也是基督教與宗教不同的最明顯的獨特性。 (1) 英國詩人愛德華希利托 (Edward Shillito; 1872-1948) 以詩的形式寫道: 其他神都很強大;但你很軟弱; 他們騎馬而行,你卻蹒跚在王位上; 但只有上帝的傷口才能對我們的傷口說話, 除你之外,沒有任何神有傷痕。 (2)「在公元一世紀中東的鄉村小鎮裡,上帝化身為人,祂以人性生活、受苦和死亡。」 對於這個史實,19 世紀的牧師司布真(Charles Spurgeon) 這樣說: 無限但又尚屬嬰兒。 永恆且由女人所生。 全能的,卻要靠女人的乳汁哺育。 支撐起一個宇宙,卻需要媽媽的懷抱。 他是一切的繼承人,但卻是被人鄙視的木匠兒子。 聖子永遠與聖父、聖靈同在,和諧而快樂。 (3) 第一世紀的教父阿塔納修斯 (Athanasius) 認為「道成肉身」的核心觀點在於,基督的降世為人既是人類得救的唯一途徑,也是神愛與智慧的最完美體現。他曾這樣寫道: 「…祂以一種新的方式進入了這個世界,在祂的愛中屈尊與我們同在,並向我們展示自我…他,全能者,萬物的創造者,他親自在聖母瑪利亞體內創造了這個身體作為自己的聖殿……因此,他取了一個像我們一樣的身體,因為我們所有的身體都容易遭受死亡的腐爛,他將自己的身體交給死亡(代替我們),並將其獻給天父。他這樣做完全是出於對我們的愛,以便他的死能使所有人都死,從此, 對於人類來說, 死亡就失去了它的權勢。」 (4) 阿波羅宇航員之一詹姆斯·歐文 (James Irwin) 卻說過這樣的話:「當人們認識到上帝在地球上行走比人類在月球上行走更重要時,整個人類登月的成就就會放在適當的角度。」 … Continue reading
