我们出生时与盲人无异，被灵性黑暗所覆盖，经由耶稣手的「第一次触摸」，我们才看见神的国度。如果您有耶稣，您有一切。

We were all born blind, shrouded with spiritual darkness. At the “First Touch” by Jesus’ hand, we could see the kingdom of God. Regeneration is instant and immediate. After we were born again, our vision was still dim and blurred due to the remnants still in our old-self. By the grace of God, Jesus administers the “second touch” --- perhaps the third touch and the fourth touch---which signifies a continuous process of sanctification. Sometimes we gain ground but sometimes we backslide, the net is we will make progress. Eventually, we will receive Glorification at the end of our life and we shall see God face-to-face---What a blessing! John Bunyan’s story tells us that we are pilgrims and we make progress.

Aristotle’s cosmic philosophy and Buddhism’s reincarnation worldview are circular, but Christians’ worldview is linear. We have a goal. We have an upward call to reach the goal. The opposite of the pilgrims’ worldview is Secularism---This world and this time and with no eternity in view. You may be living a miserable life now but you can be sure that Jesus is holding your hand as he did with the blind man. For those who have made decision to be baptized, I have “Good News” for you: If you have Jesus, you have everything.

(一)報福音傳喜信的人:差傳聽信
1、神的命令:徒10:9－16中,彼得異像中得神啟示。主頒下大使命（太28:19－20）。在徒1:8中,吩咐門徒普世傳福音,直到地極。
2、人間的呼聲:世界人口增長速度十分迅速,失喪靈魂的呼聲。
3、加速主耶穌再來:太24章提及主再來之前有7個預兆。
(二) 報福音傳喜信的人:報福音、傳喜信；
1.喜信:傳福音是傳令人歡喜的信息。 （路二：10-11；約三：16）
2.平安:當世人認罪悔改,接受主的救贖,心裡就有平安喜樂。 (約一四:27,一六:33)
3.福音本是神的大能,要救一切相信的。 （羅一：16）
如何：報福音、傳喜信；
1.“我們傳揚祂,是用諸般的智慧…”(西一：28)
2.齊心努力:“同有一個心志,站立得穩,為所信的福音齊心努力”（腓一：27）。
(三) 報福音傳喜信的人:腳踪佳美/傳遍天下
主來的日子近了,願我們把握時機,用諸般的智慧,齊心努力傳福音,拯救普世失喪的靈魂。佳美腳踪得主稱讚,榮歸主名。
教會是唯一傳福音的機構,教會傳福音有以下福氣:
1. 愛心增加
2. 奉獻增加
3. 人數增加
4. 能力增加
教會傳福音;是教會蒙福的見證：
1．效法耶穌差傳的榜樣。 (林後五14～15)
2．信主的人都是耶穌以重價贖回的:欠了福音的債。 (羅一14-15)
3．學習主耶穌慈愛、憐恤的榜樣。 (太九36/38；路十六27/28)
4．為了耶穌基督就要再來,所以信徒必須緊急傳揚主的福音,直到地極。 (徒一8)。

1. The power of the money idol (金錢偶像的奴役)
Zacchaeus sacrificed everything (family, honor, dignity, etc.) else for money (Luke 19:1-2). The financial tycoons committed suicides during the 2008-09 global economic crises. One could not help but ask, “Where the power of money comes from?” The answer to this question can be found from the answer of a bigger question: “What is idol?”

2. What is money idols---one the counterfeit gods (偶像是甚麼)?
“An idol is something that we look to for things that only God can give” by Timothy Keller. The Bible equates “Greed” with “Idolatry” (Col.3:5 and Eph. 5:5).
When the young boy John Wesley asked his mother about the definition of sin, Susanna Wesley replied,
“Son, whatever weakens your reasoning, impairs the tenderness of your conscience, obscures your sense of God, or takes away your relish for spiritual things; in short, if anything increases the authority and power of the flesh over the Spirit, then that to you becomes sin, however good it is in itself.”
I think it is appropriate to substitute the word “sin” with “your idols” and hence giving an insightful definition of idolatry.

3. Men are powerless in dealing with idols (人無法除掉偶像)
While surface idol is easy to smash, the deep idol in our soul cannot be eradicated by the human will and determination.
Andrew Carnegie said that “wealth is one of the worst species of idolatry.” But his candor and self-knowledge wasn’t able to free him from his fear.

4. The Gospel is the only way to set us free (福音是唯一的途徑)
Zacchaeus came to his senses and said “I want to see who Jesus is” (Luke 19:3). The word “want” is a weak expression; it should be rendered as “desperation.” This is an act of faith. Jesus offered him salvation as a free gift (Luke 19:9). Zacchaeus testified his genuine faith with action. Money to him became a tool for doing good and serving people.

5. Christ’s self-emptying: key to victory (基督的虛己是勝過偶像的原動力)
Idols cannot be eradicated from our hearts only by replacing it with Christ. This is the principle of substitution (Luke 16:13-14). The God-man Jesus offered supreme example to show us how to reorient our hearts to the generosity of Christ (2 Cor. 8:9).

6. Applications (生活應用)
• Tell people the Gospel as Jesus did to Zacchaeus: Be a deliverer of the “Letter of Christ” to the lost world.
• Focus on Jesus in every waking moment.
• Meditate on God-man Jesus’ self emptying.
• Reorient your mind in financial offering to God’s ministry.

Teaching people to understand the uniqueness of Christianity is one of the many tools the Holy Spirit employs to lead people to Christ. Here we consider four major ideas that set Christianity apart---and above---all other world religions.

1. Creation (神是宇宙和生命的創造者) --- Gen. 1:1
2. Incarnation (道成肉身的奧秘) --- John 1:1-2, 14
3. Transformation (重生及信徒的更生變化) --- Ps. 19:7-11
4. Consummation (天人合一的榮耀盼望) --- Rev. 19:7

We see remarkable coherence among the issues of Origin, Morality, Meaning, and Destiny, and thus the Christian faith stands out as unique in this truth-test. In my pursuit of the reasonableness of the Christian faith, my spiritual life has been growing and my faith strengthening. I am inviting you to embark on the same journey to discover the awe, majesty, and wonder of Jesus Christ.

耶稣所讲「要做比这更大的事！“耶稣说的话真的吗？
正文：
主说：我实实在在地告诉你们 - >要做比这更大的事！宝贵的应许！
所做的事， - 指耶稣做的的什么事（12节）？
这是一个伟大的应许，我们必须了解它的含义，真正内涵是什么？这应许的目的是什么（13节）？这个应许的条件是什么（14节）？
- 门徒行更奇妙的神迹，叫死人复活。信心的果效 - 在神面前有了坚固信心
的根基。二，要做比这更大的事 - >奉耶稣基督的名求 - 盼望！

Sermon outline

• Spiritual leaders in Jesus’ time derived their power from a Jerusalem based establishment---Sanhedrin---which was recognized even by Caesar and exerted great influences upon the colonial Jewish people’s religious and civil lives.

• One kind of Spiritual leaders was Pharisees who were noted for their knowledge of the Hebrew Scripture and law-conformity and were consistently in conflict with Jesus due to their self-righteousness and hypocrisy.
• One Pharisee named Nicodemus was different---humble, willing to learn, and respectful of Jesus---who came to see Jesus at night.
• Jesus knew Nicodemus’ inner problem---sin--- and offered an answer to an unasked question by affirming, “No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”
• Relating to what Nicodemus had known as a Teacher about Ezekiel 36:25-27, Jesus expounded “Born again” as being “born of water and the Spirit.”
• Born Again is not men’s doing but solely the work of God’s Spirit because “Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit.” Man’s regeneration is entirely the grace of God but man’s lostness is his own responsibility accountable for future judgment.
• Evangelism is not complete until the Cross of Christ is introduced. Jesus used the familiar story in Numbers 21:4-9 to introduce to Nicodemus the soon-to-happen crucifixion. The elements of the Cross consist of: The sins of men, the judgment of God, the love of God.

Jesus called for action and decision in His conversation with this Pharisee by urging him, “You must be born again.” Today, in our redemptive encounters with unbelievers, we must do the same thing. The Gospel is always offensive. But if there must be an offensive, let it be of the cross but not of our manner in presenting the Gospel.

證道大綱

(一) 引言：要「靈巧」，因為我們有被試探誘惑的可能。所謂靈巧，是指一種合適的，準確的，有分寸的對魔鬼的恐嚇，誘惑、試探的回應。有三處經文，是講及基督徒的靈巧。
(二) 三段關於靈巧的經文
1.參約8：3-11
靈巧不單化解了危機，也有馴良的素質，給人出路、給人退路。
2.參太4：3-10
靈巧不是指毫無原則的變通，而應有固定不變的節奏：就是以敬畏神為原則。
3.參可12：13-17
靈巧是作當作的事，即如該撒的物當歸該撒，神的物歸給神。
(三) 結論：「靈巧」並非深思熟慮的結果，也不是一種生活操練，而是生命的素質。當我們走屬「靈」的路時；自然能夠「巧」妙地保守自己，不受撒但的傷害。
